"BOOK Art & Play" Creative Curriculum Guide
Spark children’s imaginations and develop an appreciation for storytelling by pairing books with art and play invitations! We’ve chosen mostly classic books that you may already have, making it easier to get started right away. Each book is paired with one art and one play invitation, a healthy snack idea, and an additional mini-book list connected to the theme. We also offer tips around creating spaces to read, getting children excited about reading, how to set up books with creative invitations, and how children can share the joy of books with one another. Our hope is that children take these creative invitations in a direction that feels right to them, leading to many wonderful moments of connection, mindfulness, creativity, and imagination!
Our curriculum is inclusive and honors each child’s individuality and way of thinking and working. Consider each guide like a beautiful magazine where creativity meets education. They are more than a collection of art ideas, they are the KEY to a cohesive, child-centered, manageable creative practice for your family at home, or to integrate with your homeschool or classroom curriculum.
